Shar‧ples, E‧na /ˈʃɑːpəlz $ ˈʃɑːr-, ˈiːnə/
a character who used to appear in the British television programme Coronation Street. She was an old WORKING-CLASS woman with strong opinions and strict ideas about other people's moral behaviour, which she expressed very openly.
